I am running for a seat on the MVLA School Board because I want to ensure that every student finds their own path to success. With a Ph.D. in chemistry, I’ve learned how to tackle problems using critical thinking and first principles. After switching career to business and finance, I gained a deeper understanding that there is no one path to success—students need a range of opportunities to explore their potential.

My son graduated from Mountain View High School this year, and I became well familiar with the board’s procedures by attending meetings and engaging with the district. I also served on the Family Partnership Council (FPC), which was established to strengthen communication, feedback, and collaboration between families and the MVLA High School District.

In addition, my role as a senior manager at Tesla specializing in Finance/Tax and my service on the LASD Bond Oversight Committee have prepared me to bring responsible financial stewardship to the board. Above all, I believe we must prioritize the mental health of both students and staff, creating an environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. By broadening academic opportunities and focusing on essential life skills, I hope to help our district better prepare students for success beyond the classroom.
